Anyone that is Married to a Rockette raise your hand……oh….I guess that’s ME!!!

January 17, 2008 at 9:46 am (Uncategorized)

Ok. I understand that this is a completely random post but…..I’m excited!!! My wife Megan Dragon recently found out that she is going to be a Rockette this year over the the holidays in Florida!!!

Meg and I dated for about 6 years and we finally tied the knot this past May in Southern California with arguably the BEST wedding of the century. She has been a dancer since she was a little girl. She grew up performing in every type of dance production imaginable and focused mainly on Ballet and jazz. We ended up meeting at Disneyland where she was performing in a parade and I was performing in another parade doing BMX tricks on and off of a huge 80 ft. long parade float with ramps (that is a whole other blog that I’ll have to get into later). During the time that we dated, she worked for 6 months as a dancer on a Holland America cruise, then spent 11 months in Tokyo working as a dancer in a show at Tokyo Disneyland. During her time here in Southern California she could be seen in such shows at the Glory of Easter and Christmas at the Crystal Cathedral, at Wild Bills Dinner theater, and at Knott’s Berry Farm. She has done MANY dance jobs in her adult life, but getting the job as a ROCKETTE is pretty much the top of the line. It’s every dancers dream and she is WAAAAAAYYYY excited to be involved in a group of some of the best dancers in the business. THere are about 3 productions of the Rockette’s Holiday Show around the country and Meg will be performing in Florida over the holidays. If anyone is in the area, go check out the show…..it’s supposed to be awesome!

I thought that I’d write this blog because I was sitting here in my “office” (Starbucks) and I got a call from Megan in New York. She flew out yesterday for a photo-shoot at the Radio City Music Hall and she had a great time getting dressed up in the costumes and meeting all the other girls. I am incredibly proud of her and happy to say that she is my wife…..and better half!

Just wanted to share that with everyone….Have a GREAT day!!!!!

Why Have a Blog about personal and business aspects of my life?

January 17, 2008 at 9:45 am (Uncategorized)

Some one reading this might think: “That’s weird. He’s got a blog with some personal stuff (ie: pictures and fun stuff etc.) and then he posts about Real Estate and the business aspects of his life too!!!”
He’s what I’m thinking. There are TONS of people who I have known for years. Friends, family, acquaintances etc. and they know absolutely NOTHING about my “job” and what I “do”.
On the flip side…there are MANY past and present clients who don’t know alot about my personal life and what I “do”.
Since both of my worlds are so affected by the other…I figured I’d just let everyone in on it and give you a taste of the other side of me that you may not have know.

If you know me in the “business world”, here are some things that you might not have know about me:

1). I was born and raised in the OC area.
2). I come from a pretty musical family and I in fact played the drums for about 8 years. I still love to play…just no place for a drum set at this point.
3). My brother was in “Blue Man Group” for 3 years and I made it to the last cut in New York on 2 seperate occasions. It didn’t pan out….but…what a great experience. Below is a picture of me during the last audition.

4). I was into every extreme sport that you could think of. I rode BMX bikes in a parade at Disneyland where I would do tricks on an off of a giant 80ft long moving float.
5). I met my wife Megan Dragon while working at Disneyland.
6). We love to travel, and I have been all over the US, Europe and Japan.
7). There was a period of time where I would throw myself off of buildings for money. Ok. Let me re-phrase that. I worked at Knott’s Berry Farm on the stunt team and performed in the Wild West Stunt Show in the Wagon Camp and also in “The Hanging” for the annual Halloween Haunt stunt show in Calico Square. Below is a picture of me on a “regular” day at Knott’s…

8). I got MARRIED on May 12th 2007 to my better half….Megan Dragon!

9). I LOVE to meet new people and am always the person you can turn to for help or just a good talk! I love deep conversations on passionate issues. I love to pick people’s brains.
and…….the last one……..
10). I was a HUGE baby!!!!

I hope, that after reading that…you have a little better idea about who I really am and what is important in my life.

In the next post….I’ll fill in everyone on what they don’t know about my Business life!!!
Thanks for reading!

So I was at a good friend of ours’ bday BBQ and there was this guy Kyle there who had the most bitchin’ camera I had seen in a while. I began to play around with it and I instantly fell in love. I actually ended up going home that night and ordering it online at Costco. It’s funny how before you know about something….you never see it….and then once you buy something….you start to notice that EVERYONE has the same thing. It turns out that it’s a very popular camera and one that I will not grow out of any time soon.
Introducing, the Canon Rebel XTi.

I got this camera for Meg and I NOT only to document our lives and take great pictures of us….but also as a business tool to take better and more detailed Real Estate pictures. Here are some of the pictures that I’ve taken so far…..

Our cat….Misha:

This is my beautiful wife Megan. All natural…no makeup and no extra lighting. THIS is why I love this camera. I’ve never gotten such great pictures before in my life….without using Photoshop.hehehe:
